BLOCKBUSTER BOMB (26 K)

A Blockbuster for the Axis Bloc

One of the more terrifying weapons of mass destruction of WW II was this British-made "blockbuster bomb." Nearly 4 feet in diameter (compare its size to the man standing behind the bomb at the left) and weighing 12,000 pounds, a four-engine heavy bomber like the one in the background was needed to deliver this payload into the heart of Nazi Germany. From the Webmaster's collection.
