July 12, 2003: Information Sought
about 184th AAA Gun Battalion

Ross Merante III writes:   " ... I've recently discovered some details regarding my Grandfather, Ross Merante, who was a Corporal in the 184th AAA [Gun Battalion] from Pennsylvania. He entered into service from New Cumberland, Pa. On his discharge papers it lists under Battles and Campaigns: 'GO 33-40 WD 45 Central Europe Rhineland Northern France Normandy Air Offensive Europe Ground Combat Europe.' He served from March 1942 until October 1945. Does anyone have any further details on this unit? Has anyone seen a patch or insignia for this unit?"

Answers:   Please send your information to Ross Merante III.
