Sabatine V. “Stubby” Brandoline, 95, formerly of Depot Rd., passed peacefully on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scotia.
Born in Schenectady, Sabatine was the son of the late John and Onesta Brandolino.
Sabatine joined the US Army in 1943 and served in Northern France, Germany, Central Europe and Normandy with the 225th AAA Searchlight Battalion. He was honorably discharged in 1945.
Stubby was employed as a machinist with General Electric and retired in 1987 with 26 years of service. He also drove School Bus for the Duanesburg School District for many years while working at GE and after he retired.
In addition to his parents, Sabatine was also predeceased by his beloved wife of 64 years, Phyllis DeLuke Brandoline who died in 2010, siblings, John Brandolino, Peter Brandolino, Thomas Brandolino, Daniel Brandolino and Antoinette Wilson.
He is survived by his children, Linda (Bruce) Snow and Gary (Jill) Brandoline, both of Duanesburg, his brother Anthony Brandolino of Vermont, four grandchildren, Lisa Snow, Jason Snow, Amy (Craig) Gravina and Kyle (Kellie) Brandoline, and four great grandchildren, Zackary, Shawna, Zoe and Will.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 9 to 11am at the White-Van Buren Funeral Home, 1779 Main St., Delanson, followed at 11:30 am by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Fatima Church.
Burial, with military honors, will be in the spring at Grove Cemetery.
Sabatine’s family would like to thank the Doctors and staff at Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation for the care and kindness they gave to their father and grandfather during his time there.
