A 225th searchlight's 800 million candlepower allowed the beam to be thrown over 15,000 yards (over 8 miles) and be seen from 50 miles away.

Two of the 225th's lights form a V for Victory over Paris during the United States Strategic Tactical Air Forces Exhibit, Summer 1945.

Four of the Skylighters' six lights sent to Paris in Summer of 1945 illuminate the Eiffel Tower.
